The Seminar:

A rare and valuable opportunity to learn how to prepare and succeed by maximizing one’s potential in this participatory clinic with the Head Coach of Columbia University as he shares the tactics, techniques, and strategies that led their fencing teams to two consecutive NCAA Championships and seven out of eight possible Ivy League titles in the past four years. The clinic will include handwork and footwork drills, discussions on high pressure bouting situations, time management, the importance of the first touch, and many other topics. Participants must bring their electric equipment and be ready to fence. Open to all three weapons.

The Presenter:

Michael Aufrichtig has completed his seventh year as head men’s and women’s fencing coach for Columbia University.  During his tenure the Men and Women’s Teams were the 2016 and 2017 NCAA Champions, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 Men’s Ivy League Champions, and 2015, 2016, 2018 Women’s Ivy League Champions.  Michael is also the Chairman of the Fencing Program at the New York Athletic Club.
